These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "Customer") and GloConnect ("GloConnect," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, eSIM connectivity services, and any related products (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, purchasing an eSIM plan, installing or activating an eSIM profile, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
PLEASE READ SECTION 15 (DISPUTE RESOLUTION) CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES THAT DISPUTES BE RESOLVED THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to enter into these Terms. By using the Services you represent that you have full legal capacity to do so. If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
The Services are not available to users located in countries subject to comprehensive sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the United Nations, or to individuals appearing on applicable sanctions lists.
2. The Services
GloConnect provides prepaid eSIM data plans that allow compatible devices to access mobile data via partner mobile network operators ("MNOs") in supported countries. The Services include the website at the GloConnect domain, our mobile applications, the QR codes and activation profiles we issue, and customer support.
GloConnect operates as an aggregator and reseller of connectivity services. The underlying cellular network in each country is provided by an MNO partner, and the quality, coverage, and availability of the service depend on that partner's network. Coverage, available networks, speeds, and supported countries are listed on our website at the time of purchase and may change. eSIM functionality requires a device that is eSIM-capable and not network-locked by another carrier.
3. Accounts
To purchase plans and manage eSIMs you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@gloconnect.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, are used to violate these Terms, or pose a security or fraud risk.
4. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
- Prices for plans are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and include applicable taxes only where stated. Local taxes, duties, or charges may be added.
- Payment is required in full at the time of purchase. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. You authorize us and our processors to charge your chosen payment method for all amounts due.
- Where you purchase a recurring or auto-renewing plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel. If payment fails, we may suspend Services after five (5) days and terminate the plan and deactivate the eSIM after thirty-one (31) consecutive days of non-payment.
- We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or breach of these Terms.
- In the event of an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the affected order and issue a full refund, even after order confirmation.
5. eSIM Delivery and Activation
After successful payment, GloConnect will deliver your eSIM activation details (typically a QR code and/or activation code) by email and within your account. It is your responsibility to install and activate the eSIM on a compatible device while connected to a working internet connection.
Each eSIM profile may be installed only once. If you delete the profile from your device, you may not be able to reinstall it without purchasing a new plan. We are not responsible for accidental deletion of profiles.
Plan validity begins on the date specified at purchase (typically first connection to a supported network or a fixed start date you select). Unused data and unused validity time do not roll over and are not refundable except as required by law.
6. Fair Use Policy
The GloConnect Fair Use Policy is intended to ensure consistent service quality, protect network integrity, and provide equitable access for all users. By using the Services you agree to comply with this Policy. This Policy applies in addition to any fair use rules imposed by the underlying MNO partner whose network you connect to, which may further restrict usage at any time.
6.1 Permitted Use
The Services are intended for personal, mobile use during travel or short-term connectivity needs by a single end user on a single device. Permitted use includes normal browsing, messaging, social media, navigation, streaming, video calling, and ordinary mobile productivity activities.
6.2 Prohibited Use
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any other person to, use the Services to:
- Operate the eSIM as a permanent or primary internet connection, including as a substitute for fixed-line broadband at a residence, office, or other fixed location.
- Conduct sustained machine-to-machine (M2M), IoT, automated, or bulk traffic outside normal consumer mobile use, including server hosting, automated downloading, cryptocurrency mining, or persistent background workloads.
- Tether or share the connection beyond the device-tethering limits stated for your plan, or in a way that effectively distributes a single eSIM's connectivity across multiple devices in a fixed installation.
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Services without our prior written consent.
- Use the Services for fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, infringing, or abusive activity, including the transmission of malware, spam, phishing, harassment, hate speech, or unlawful content.
- Generate, transmit, or terminate traffic that disrupts, damages, or impairs any network, including denial-of-service attacks, network scanning, port scanning, or traffic intended to defeat carrier billing or routing.
- Use the Services to bypass, disable, or circumvent any technical, geographic, or contractual usage limit, including bypassing local carrier restrictions or termination charges.
- Use the Services for SIM-box operation, A2P (application-to-person) bulk messaging, robocalling, or any form of grey-route or unauthorized international traffic termination.
6.3 Usage Thresholds and Indicators
Behavior that may indicate a breach of this Fair Use Policy includes, but is not limited to: data consumption substantially above the typical usage profile of comparable users on the same plan; continuous 24/7 connectivity over multiple days at a fixed location; tethering volumes that exceed reasonable mobile use; and traffic patterns characteristic of M2M, server, or commercial use rather than personal travel. GloConnect publishes specific volume, speed, and tethering thresholds for each plan on the relevant plan page or in the in-app plan details, and those plan-specific limits form part of this Policy.
6.4 Underlying MNO Fair Use
Data coverage, speeds, and tethering may also be subject to the fair use policies of the underlying MNO partner whose network you are using. To ensure a high quality of service for all users, the MNO may impose restrictions or limitations on data usage, speed, or tethering capabilities if your usage is deemed excessive or if it negatively impacts the performance of its network. GloConnect cannot waive or override those restrictions.
6.5 Consequences of Breach
If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that your use of the Services breaches this Fair Use Policy, we may, with or without prior notice, take one or more of the following actions:
- Reduce data speeds ("throttle") for the remainder of the plan's validity period;
- Suspend data sessions, the eSIM profile, or your account;
- Terminate the affected plan and deactivate the eSIM;
- Block specific traffic types, ports, or destinations;
- Refuse to sell additional plans or top-ups to you or to your account; and/or
- Pursue any other remedy available under these Terms or applicable law.
You will not be entitled to a refund for plans suspended, throttled, or terminated due to a breach of this Fair Use Policy. Where possible, we will notify you before taking enforcement action and give you an opportunity to bring your usage back into compliance, but we are not required to do so where the activity is fraudulent, abusive, or poses an immediate risk to our network or partners.
6.6 Monitoring and Privacy
We monitor aggregate and individual usage patterns solely to administer this Policy, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law, and protect network integrity. Monitoring is performed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not inspect the content of your communications for fair use purposes.
7. Device Compatibility
You are responsible for confirming that your device is eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked, and supports the network technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G, supported bands) used in your destination country. A list of generally compatible devices is published on our website but is provided for guidance only and does not constitute a warranty for your specific device.
We are not responsible for connectivity issues caused by device incompatibility, manufacturer restrictions, carrier locks, outdated software, or user configuration errors.
8. Coverage and Service Quality
Mobile data quality depends on factors outside our control, including the coverage and performance of partner MNOs, local terrain and buildings, weather, network congestion, regulatory restrictions, and your device. GloConnect does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or specific minimum-speed service in any location.
Voice calling and SMS are not generally supported by GloConnect data-only eSIMs unless explicitly stated for a specific plan. Emergency calling functionality is not available through GloConnect data eSIMs and you must maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
- You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the eSIM has not been installed, activated, or used. Once an eSIM is installed or any data has been consumed, the plan is generally non-refundable.
- Statutory rights of withdrawal under EU/EEA, UK, or other consumer protection laws apply where required. Where the law permits, by activating the eSIM or beginning consumption of the associated data plan you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once activation is complete or the data plan is consumed.
- Where you have activated the Services but are unable to use them due to a verified technical fault attributable to GloConnect, we will, at our discretion, provide a replacement eSIM, a refund of the unused portion of the plan, or store credit toward a future purchase. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the issue arising, and you agree to cooperate with reasonable troubleshooting steps before a refund is finalized.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method or, at our discretion and with your agreement, as GloConnect store credit. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and may take up to 10 business days.
- No refund or replacement is available for plans suspended, throttled, or terminated for breach of the Fair Use Policy or these Terms.
- Refund requests should be sent to support@gloconnect.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Services, including text, graphics, logos, software, eSIM profiles, and documentation, is owned by GloConnect or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services solely for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the Services except as permitted by law.
"GloConnect" and the GloConnect logo are trademarks of GloConnect. Other trademarks displayed on the Services belong to their respective owners.
11. User Content and Communications
If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, or other content to GloConnect, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for any lawful business purpose without compensation to you.
You are solely responsible for any content you transmit through the Services and represent that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.
12. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on or interoperate with services provided by third parties, including MNO partners, app stores, payment processors, identity verification providers, and authorized resellers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Where you purchase a GloConnect eSIM through an authorized reseller or partner, your purchase agreement is with that third party and you must direct refund and support requests to them, except where GloConnect's own service is at fault. GloConnect is not responsible for third-party services or content.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the Fair Use Policy, used the Services unlawfully, engaged in fraud, or created a risk to GloConnect, our partners, or other users.
You may stop using the Services at any time and close your account by contacting support@gloconnect.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused balances except as required by law.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GloConnect, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts you paid to GloConnect during that 12-month period and (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. This choice of law does not deprive consumers of the protection of mandatory laws in their country of habitual residence.
Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact GloConnect at legal@gloconnect.com and to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least 60 days.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) under its Rules of Arbitration. The seat of arbitration will be London, United Kingdom. The arbitration will be conducted in English by a sole arbitrator. The arbitral award will be final and binding.
Class action waiver: You and GloConnect agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights. Consumers may have the right to bring claims in their local courts where mandated by applicable law; nothing in this section overrides those mandatory rights. EU consumers may also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GloConnect, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use or misuse of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms, the Fair Use Policy, or applicable law; or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.
17. Force Majeure
GloConnect will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, sanctions, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, or failures of MNO partners.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms, including the Fair Use Policy in Section 6, from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email, in-app notice, or a prominent posting on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect, unless a shorter period is required by law. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
19. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any plan-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and GloConnect regarding the Services.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- No waiver: failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. GloConnect may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a corporate transaction.
- Notices: we may send you notices by email, through your account, or by posting on our website. Notices to GloConnect must be sent to legal@gloconnect.com.
- Language: these Terms are issued in English. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of conflict, the English version prevails.
